Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a awesome free motif pattern from me! My Star Flower Hexagon Motif is so cute and looks neat in multiple colors! It's so quick to craft and you could make so many different projects using this motif! Bags, blankets, shawls, etc.

Here is the free pattern/tutorial:


Materials:

Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/Aran weight for my example motif

Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a I hook for my example motif – 5.0 MM

Scissors

Stitch Markers

Notes:

For the Cluster V Stitch: 3 DC, CH 2, 3 DC all in same space

Crochet Stitches Needed:

Chain – CH

Stitch – ST

Skip – SK

Slip Stitch (SL ST):

Magic Circle/Ring/Loop:

Chain 4 starting method:

Slip Stitch starting method:

Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC):

Double Crochet Spike Stitch (DCS):

Cluster V Stitch (CL V):

Pattern:

Row 1 Starting With Magic Circle: Make circle, 12 DC in circle, SL ST into first DC made in this row, continue to row 2…

Row 1 Starting With CH 4 Method: CH 4, 11 DC in fourth CH from hook, SL ST into first DC made in this row, continue to row 2…

Row 2: CH 3, 1 DC in same ST as CH 3 you just made, *CH 1, 1 DC in next ST, CH 1, 2 DC in next ST, Repeat from * around, SL ST into first CH 3 made in this row

Row 3: CH 4, 1 DC in same ST as the CH 4 you just made, *Skip 1 ST, 1 DC in next ST, CH 1, 1 DC in same ST, Repeat from * around, SL ST into first DC made in this row

Row 4: CH 3, 2 DC in same space as CH 3 you just made, *CH 2, 3 DC in next open space, repeat from * around, SL ST into first CH 3 made in this row

Row 5: So for this row I Fastened Off of the last row. Started with a new color. I attached it to one of the open spaces and made a CH 3, 2 DC in that same space, CH 2, 3 DC in that same space. Then continued with CL V’s in each open space around, SL ST into first CH 3 made in this row

Row 6: Start the same as last row. New color. Attached to open space, CH 3, 2 DC in open space, *CH 1, Skip 1 ST, 1 HDC in next ST, DCS down to center ST of row 3, 1 HDC in next ST, CH 1, Skip 1 ST, 3 DC in next open space, Repeat from around, SL ST into first CH 3 made in this row

Row 7: Start the same as last row. New color. Attached to open space. CH 3, 2 DC in open space, CH 2, 3 DC in same space, *CH 1, 3 DC in next open space, CH 1, 3 DC in next open space, CH 1, LC in next open space, repeat from around, SL ST into first CH 3 made in this row

Fasten Off work, Weave any loose ends
