Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a new free pattern from me! My Superstar Filet Square is so cute and easy to make!
This square would be amazing for many, many projects!
It's a very basic square, but the filet aspect adds a little something special!

Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example square
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a I hook for my example square – 5.5 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Notes:
I Fasten Off each row to change colors:

To keep your square straight, flip your work every other row
Crochet Stitches Needed:
Chain – CH
Stitch – ST
Skip – SK

Pattern:
Pick your favorite way to start a circle or square, playlist above!
Row 1: Make circle, CH 3, 2 DC into center of circle, CH 3, *3 DC into circle, CH 3, Repeat from * 2 more times, SL ST into first DC stitch made in this row
Row 2: CH 4, SK 1 ST, 1 DC into next ST, *(2 DC, CH 3 2 DC) into next corner space, 1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK 1 ST, 1 DC into next ST, repeat from * around, SL ST into the 1st CHs you made in this row
Row 3: CH 4, *SK previous CH 1 space, 1 DC into each ST across to next corner space, (2 DC, CH 3, 2 DC) into that corner space, 1 DC into each CH across until previous CH 1 space, CH 1, repeat from * around, SL ST into the 1st CHs you made in this row
Repeat Row 3 for any future rows you want to make
