Photo Tutorial – How To Crochet: Crossed Cluster Stitch!

Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Crossed Cluster Stitch!

First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch

Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 3

Row 1: Make 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook

Make 1 SC into each CH across to complete your row

Row 2: Make 3 CHs

*Skip 1 ST, make the bottom of a DC into the next ST:

Yarn over, Insert your hook into the ST, grab the yarn and bring it through, bringing up 1 loop, yarn over, take that yarn through 2 loops on your hook only

Into this same ST, make the bottom of another DC:

Yarn over, Insert your hook into the same ST, grab the yarn and bring it through, bringing up 1 loop, yarn over, take that yarn through 2 loops on your hook only

you'll have 3 loops on your hook to continue

Yarn over your hook and take that through all 3 loops on your hook to complete this (2 Double Crochet) Cluster Stitch

So we're going to make another 2 DC Cluster into the ST we skipped,

Yarn over, Insert your hook into the skipped ST, grab the yarn and bring it through, bringing up 1 loop, yarn over, take that yarn through 2 loops on your hook only

So same thing, we need to make another bottom of another DC into the skipped ST:

Yarn over, Insert your hook into the same ST, grab the yarn and bring it through, bringing up 1 loop, yarn over, take that yarn through 2 loops on your hook only

you'll have 3 loops on your hook to continue
