First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.

Yarn over your hook 2 times
Insert your hook between the stitch you just worked and the one you would work next, putting your hook behind the post of the next stitch, it will pop out of the other side
Yarn over your hook 1 time
Pull that yarn through the back of the stitch
This is where you will complete the stitch like a regular Extended TR ST
Yarn over 1 time
Take that yarn through 1 loop on your hook
Yarn over 1 time
Take that yarn through 2 loops on your hook
Yarn over 1 time
Take that yarn through 2 loops on your hook
Yarn over 1 time
Take that yarn through the last 2 loops on your hook
