Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Bead Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! And how to make the Puff Stitch (PS), tutorial here!
The Bead Stitch is made from 2 rows alternating. One row of all Single Crochet or a foundation row then a Bead Stitch row
Start your foundation row, or all SC row with 1 CH
Then work 1 SC into each ST across
Turn your work
For your Bead Stitch row, CH 3
Skip 1 ST then work 1 DC into the next ST
Yarn over your hook 1 time
Wrap your hook around the right side of the DC you just made, then yarn over your hook
Pull that yarn around that DC (3 loops on your hook)
Yarn over 1 time
Wrap your hook around the DC again and grab the yarn you're working with
Pull that yarn around that DC (5 loops on your hook)
Yarn over your hook 1 time
Wrap your hook around the DC again and grab the yarn you're working with
Pull that yarn around that DC (7 loops on your hook)
Yarn over your hook 1 time
Take that yarn through 6 loops on your hook, leaving 2 loops
Yarn over your hook 1 time
Take that yarn through both loops on your hook
So essentially you're working a Puff Stitch around a Double Crochet Stitch
