

Row 1: Make 1 HDC into the 2nd CH from your hook


To make our first Linked HDC ST: Insert your hook into the middle loop of the HDC you just made


Insert your hook into the next CH, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop (3 on your hook)

Yarn over your hook 1 time

Take that yarn through all 3 loop on your hook to complete that Linked HDC ST

*Next Linked HDC ST, Inset your hook into the middle loop of the Linked HDC ST you just made

Insert your hook into the next CH

Yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through all 3 loops on your hook to complete

Repeat the steps above from * until you have 1 CH left in your row

Make 1 regular HDC into the last CH of your row

Row 2: Make 2 CHs

Make 1 regular HDC into the 1st ST

This is where you'll start making Linked HDC STs like the last row, working off of that starting HDC

Make Linked HDC STs until you have 1 ST left in your row


Make 1 regular HDC into the last ST of this row
Repeat row 2 for however long you want your project
