Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Mock Granny Stripe Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! And how to make the Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning make chains in the multiple of 2 + 3
Row 1: Make 1 HDC into the 3rd CH from your hook
Skip 1 CH, make 2 HDC into the next CH
*Skip 1 CH, make 2 HDC into the next CH
Repeat the step above from * for the rest of your row
Row 2: Make 2 CHs
Make 2 HDC into the 1st ST
Skip 1 ST, make 2 HDC into the next ST
*Skip 1 ST, make 2 HDC into the next ST
Repeat the step above from * until you have 2 STs left in your row
Skip 1 ST, make 1 HDC into the last ST to complete this row
Row 3: Make 2 CHs
Make 1 HDC into the 1st ST
Skip 1 ST, make 2 HDC into the next ST
*Skip 1 ST, make 2 HDC into the next ST
Repeat the step above from * for the rest of your row
Alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
