Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Stacked Shell Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! And be familiar with the Double Crochet Shell Stitch, tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make CHs in the multiple of 4
Then make 4 DC into the 4th CH from your hook to start your first row, *skip 3 CHs, 5 DC into the next CH, repeat from * until the end of your row
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Next row: CH 3
Skip to middle DC (3rd one) of previous 5 DC, make 5 DC into that ST
Skip to middle DC (3rd one) of previous 5 DC, make 5 DC into that ST
Repeat the step above until you reach the end of the row
Make 1 DC into previous CH 3 in last row/in last DC of previous 5 DC
This is what the Stacked Shell Stitch should look like when completed!
