Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Crochet Cluster Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make a Slip Stitch (SL ST), I have a tutorial here! And how to make Double Crochet Stitches (DC), I have a tutorial here!
The Cluster Stitch is a bigger/wider stitch, so I would work it into a stitch/space that is bigger. For my example swatch, for the starting row I had made CHs in a odd amount, then worked 1 Single Crochet Stitch (tutorial here) into the 1st CH from my hook, CH 3, then skipped 2 CHs and worked 1 SC into the next CH. I then worked my Cluster Stitches into the open spaces made from those CHs I made in my previous rows.
To begin 1 Cluster Stitch, yarn over your hook and insert your hook into the next CH/ST/Space
Grab the yarn through that CH/ST/Space and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop
Yarn over and pull that yarn through only 2 loops on your hook
Yarn over, insert yarn hook, pull that yarn through again
Yarn over and pull through only 2 loops again
Yarn over, insert yarn hook, pull that yarn through again
Yarn over and pull through only 2 loops again
Yarn over, insert yarn hook, pull that yarn through again
Yarn over and pull through only 2 loops again
Once you have 5 loops on your hook, yarn over and pull through all loops
This is what the Crochet Cluster Stitch should look like when completed!
