Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on How To Crochet The Compact Cluster V Stitch!
First, with any project you’ll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this stitch you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here and the Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC), I have a tutorial here!
If you are working from the beginning making chains, make CHs in multiples of 2, then work 1 V ST into the 3rd CH from your hook, skip 2 CHs, make 1 V in the next CH, repeat this for your first row.
The rest of this tutorial will be the row you will repeat for however long you want your project
CH 2
1 HDC in opening from previous V ST
1 HDC into that same space as the 1 just made
CH 1
1 HDC into that same space
1 HDC into that same space
So a total of 2 HDC, CH 1, 2 HDC all in that same space
You would then repeat this until the end of your row, make 1 HDC into the last ST to match the CH 2 @ the beginning of the row
This is what the Compact Cluster V Stitch should look like when completed!
