First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), tutorial here!
To start, make chains in the multiple of 2 + 4
For your 1st row: Make 1 Elizabeth ST into 4th CH from your hook, *skip 1 CH, 1 Elizabeth ST in the next CH, repaet from * until you reach the end of your row
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
For your next row: Make 3 CHs
You'll be working in the spaces between any previous Elizabeth STs
Insert your hook into the 1st space, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through
Yarn over your hook 1 time
Insert your hook back into the same space, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through again
Yarn over your hook 1 time
Take that yarn through all 4 loops on your hook
(1 Elizabeth ST made)
Make 1 CH
*Skip over next Elizabeth ST, insert your hook into the next space, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through
Yarn over your hook 1 time
Insert your hook back into the same space, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through again
Yarn over your hook 1 time
Take that yarn through all 4 loops on your hook
(1 Elizabeth ST made)
Make 1 CH
Repeat these steps from * until you reach the end of your row
This is what the Elizabeth Stitch should look like when completed!
