Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Extended Moss Stitch!
For this stitch you'll already need to know how to make Chains (CH) and how to make the Extended Single Crochet Stitch (ESC). I have a tutorial for both of these stitches here & here!
First, with any project you’ll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 2
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: 1 ESC into 2nd CH from hook, *CH 1, skip 1 CH, 1 ESC into next CH, repeat from * for your 1st row
Row 2: Make 1 CH
1 ESC into the 1st ST
CH 1, Skip over previous ESC
1 ESC into next previous CH 1 space
CH 1, Skip over previous ESC
*1 ESC into next previous CH 1 space
CH 1, Skip over previous ESC
Repeat these 2 steps from * until you reach the end of your row
1 ESC into last ST of row
This is what the Extended Moss Stitch should look like when completed!
