Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Fir Stitch!
First, with any project you’ll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you’ll need to know how to make Chains (CH)! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! And how to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here!
Starting at the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 3 + 2
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook
Make 1 SC into each CH across
Row 2: Make 3 CHs
Make 1 DC into the 1st ST of your row
Skip 2 STs, make: 1 DC + CH 2 + 1 DC into the next ST
*Skip 2 STs, make: 1 DC + CH 2 + 1 DC into the next ST
Repeat the step above from * until you have 3 STs left in your row
Skip 2 STs, make 2 DC into the last ST of your row
Row 3: Make 3 CHs
Make 1 DC into the 1st ST of your row
Into next open space from a previous Fir ST, make: 1 DC + CH 2 + 1 DC
*Into next open space from a previous Fir ST, make: 1 DC + CH 2 + 1 DC
Repeat the step above from * until you have 2 STs left in your row
Make 1 DC into each of the last 2 STs (The CHs from the last row count as a ST in this case)
Repeat row 3 for however long you want your project
This is what the Fir Stitch should look like when completed!
