First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! And how to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here!
To start from the beginning: Make CHs in the multiple of 2 + 1

Start your row with 1 CH
1 SC into first ST/CH
1 DC into next ST/CH
1 SC into next ST/CH
1 DC into next ST/CH
You will alternate between SCs and DCs until you reach the end of your row
Repeat this row for however long
This is what the Lemon Peel Stitch should look like when completed!
