Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Magic Loop/Magic Ring/Magic Circle!

The Magic Loop/Magic Ring/Magic Circle is mainly used in crochet to start circles. It's very useful for hats, mandalas, etc.
First, with any project you’ll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this technique.
To start this technique you will take the end of the yarn you're using and hold the end pointing towards you, while holding the rest of the yarn with your thumb. (Shown Above)
You will then loop the yarn under your fingers/around your fingers where the rest of the yarn you'll use is facing away from you. (Shown Above)
You will then flip your hand over and drape the yarn (the end you will be working with) over the yarn end you're still holding with your hand. (Shown Above)
This is where you bring in your hook! You'll insert your hook under the piece of yarn you're holding in your hand and grab the other piece of yarn connected with your yarn skein/ball/hank, etc. (The yarn you'll be working with.) You'll then twist it under that same piece you've been holding to make a small loop on your hook. (Shown Below)
This will be where you will begin chaining/making stitches. This is what the Magic Loop/Magic Ring/Magic Circle should look like when completed!
