Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Quad Spike Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this guide you'll need to know how to make Chains, tutorial here! And how to make the regular Crochet Quad Stitch, tutorial here!
First you'll yarn over your hook 3 times,
Then start by inserting your hook under the next stitch you would normally work into. You'll be working into a row underneath the current row you are working. In the picture above I am inserting my hook into the last row I had made, into the stitch right underneath the one I would normally work into next. (Shown Below)
Grab the yarn you're working with through that ST where you inserted your hook and pull it through that ST. Pull the yarn all the way up to the top of your work. Then yarn over again. (Show Above)
This is where you would work the stitch like a regular Quad Stitch. Pull that through all 2 loops on your hook. Leaving 4 loops
Then yarn over again and pull that through 2 loops on your hook. Leaving 3 loops.
Yarn over again, take that yarn through only 2 loops on your hooks. Leaving 2 loops left
Yarn over again and pull that through all 2 loops on your hook. Leaving 2 loops.
Yarn over for the last time and pull that through the last 2 loops on your hook
This is what the Quad Spike Stitch should look like when completed!
