Starting from the beginning making chains, make chains in the multiple of 18. I have made 162 chains for my example blanket
Row 1: Make 3 DC into the 5th CH from your hook
*Skip 2 CHs, make 3 DC into the next CH
Peak: Skip 2 CHs, make (3 DC, CH 2, 3 DC) into the next CH
Side: Skip 2 CHs, 3 DC into the next CH X 2
Valley: Skip 5 CHs, make 3 DC into the next CH
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 CH left
Make 1 DC into that last CH to complete this row
Row 2: Make 3 CHs
Skip to next space between STs, make 3 DC into that space X 2
*Peak: Make (3 DC, CH 2, 3 DC) into the next peak CH space
Skip to next space between STs, make 3 DC into that space X 2
Valley: Skip valley space, skip to next space between STs, make 3 DC into that space X 2
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 2 STs + some CHs left
Skip 2 STs, make 1 DC into the top of those last CHs to complete this row
You would now repeat Row 2 for how big you want your blanket
This is what your Granny Chevron Blanket should look like when completed!
