Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Corded Ridge Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! How to make the Reverse Single Crochet Stitch (RSC), tutorial here! And how to work in the Back Loops (BLO), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make any number of chains, then add 3 CHs
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 1 DC into the 4th CH from your hook
Then make 1 DC into each CH across to complete this row
Row 2: Make 1 CH, do not turn your work
You'll be working this row backwards on the last row you made
*Make 1 RSC into each ST across
Repeat the step above from * for the rest of this row
Row 3: Make 2 CHs, these CHs count as 1 DC, so skip the 1st ST
You'll be working 1 DC into each ST across only using the Back Loops (BLO) of each ST
You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
This is what the Corded Ridge Stitch should look like when completed!
