Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a easy little hexagon motif from me! Simple to make using basic crochet stitches! Would look cute in one color or multiple!
Hexagons are such a versatile pattern! There are so many possibilities and opportunities when using this motif!

Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example hexagon
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a I hook for my example hexagon – 5.5 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Notes:
I Fasten Off each row to change colors:

Any CH 3 throughout the pattern will count as 1 DC
Crochet Stitches Needed:
Chain – CH
Stitch – ST
Skip – SK

Pattern:
Pick your favorite way to start a circle or square, playlist above!
Row 1: Make circle, 1 DC into center of the circle, *CH 2, 2 DC into same center space, repeat from * 5 times (you should have 6 clusters of 2 DC with 2 CHs separating them), SL ST into the first DC made in row
Row 2: CH 3 (Counts as 1 DC), 1 DC in next ST, *at open space work: 1 DC, CH 2, 1 DC all in same open space, at side work: 1 DC in each ST until you reach the next open space, repeat from * around until you reach the end of the row, SL ST into first DC (CH 3) made in row
You would repeat row 2 for any future rows to make your motif bigger At each side: 1 DC in each ST until you reach a open space At each open space: 1 DC, CH 2, 1 DC
