Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Half Double Crochet Shell Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), tutorial here! And how to make the Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC), I have a tutorial here!
A Shell Stitch is simply a bunch of stitches made into the same CH/ST/Space
So you'll make a Half Double Crochet Shell Stitch by working a bunch of HDC STs into the same CH/ST/Space
In the picture above I made 1 HDC into the next ST
2 HDCs in the same ST (Shown Above)
3 HDCs in the same ST (Shown Above)
4 HDCs in the same ST (Shown Above)
5 HDCs in the same ST (Shown Above)
You could keep going to make your shells bigger if needed. I just made 5 HDCs for my example shells
This is what the Half Double Crochet Shell Stitch should look like when completed!
