First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.

Insert your hook into the 1st ST and pull up a loop
Insert your hook into the next ST and pull up a loop
Yarn over your hook 1 time
Take that yarn through all 3 loops on your hook
This is what the Single Crochet Decrease should look like when completed!
