Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Textured Shell Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! And how to make the Front Post Double Crochet Stitch (FPDC), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning make chains in the multiple of 4 + 3
Row 1: Make 4 DC into the 4th CH from your hook
*Skip 3 CHs, make 4 DC into the next CH
Repeat the step above from * until you have 3 CHs left
Skip 2 CHs, make 1 DC into the last CH of this row to complete
Row 2: Make 3 CHs
*Skip to previous 4 DC group
Skip 1st DC of that group
Make 1 FPDC over the 2nd DC of that group
Make 1 DC V (DC, CH 1, DC) between the next 2 previous DC
1 FPDC over the next previous DC (3rd one) of the 4 from our last row
Repeat the steps above from * until you have 1 ST left in your row
Make 1 DC into that last ST to complete this row
Repeat Row 2 for however long you want your project
