Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos for the Clustered V Stitch!

First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.

For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! And be familiar with the Cluster Stitch, tutorial here!

Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 3 + 4

Row 1: We're going to immediately start making Clustered V STs: Yarn over your hook 1 time

Insert your hook into the 5th CH from your hook

Yarn over your hook 1 time

Take that yarn through 2 loops on your hook

So if you're familiar with the Cluster ST, Cluster Stitches are made up of the bottoms of DC Stitches clustered together. So this is 1 DC bottom made.

We are going to make another DC bottom, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook back into that same CH we are working in, grab that yarn and pull up 1 loop on your hook

Yarn over your hook 1 time

Take that yarn through only 2 loops on your hook, making that 2nd DC bottom

We're now going to cluster those 2 together, yarn over your hook 1 time

Take that yarn through all 3 loops on your hook, so that's only 1 half of the Clustered V ST

Make 1 CH

We're going to make the other side of the Clustered V ST now, Yarn over your hook 1 time

Insert your hook back into the same CH we are working into, grab that yarn you're working with and pull up 1 loop

Yarn over your hook 1 time

Take through only 2 loops on your hook, making the 1st DC bottom on this side

Yarn over your hook 1 time

Insert your hook back into the same CH we are working into, grab that yarn you're working with and pull up 1 loop

Yarn over 1 time

Take that yarn through only 2 loops on your hook, creating that 2nd DC bottom

We're now going to cluster those 2 DC bottoms together, Yarn over your hook 1 time

Take that yarn through all 3 loops on your hook, completing that Clustered V ST

So that's 2 DC bottoms clustered together, CH 1, 2 DC bottoms clustered together all in the same CH/ST

Skip 2 CHs, going through the steps above...make 1 Clustered V ST into the next CH

*Skip 2 CHs, going through the steps above...make 1 Clustered V ST into the next CH

Repeat the step above from * until you have 2 CHs left in your row

Skip 1 CH, make 1 DC into the last CH to complete Row 1

Row 2: Make 3 CHs

Skip to 1st previous Clustered V CH 1 space, make 1 Clustered V ST in that space using the same steps from row 1

Skip to next previous Clustered V ST CH 1 space, make 1 Clustered V ST in that space using the same steps from row 1

*Skip to next previous Clustered V ST CH 1 space, make 1 Clustered V ST in that space using the same steps from row 1

Repeat the step above from * until you reach the last ST in your row

Make 1 DC into the last ST of row 2

Repeat Row 2 for however long you want your project

This is what the Clustered V Stitch looks like when completed!
