Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Extended Double Crochet Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make chains, tutorial here! And how to make the regular Double Crochet Stitch, tutorial here!
To start this stitch, you'll first yarn over your hook. Then insert your hook into the next stitch to be worked and pull the yarn behind the stitch through, pulling up 3 loops on your hook. (Shown Above)
Then yarn over your hook again and pull that through only 1 loop on your hook. You will still have 3 loops. (Shown Above)
This is where you would work a Double Crochet ST like normal (tutorial here!). You'll then yarn over your hook and pull that yarn through 2 loops on your hook. (Shown Above)
Then you'll yarn over again and pull that yarn through the last 2 loops on your hook. (Shown Above)
This is what the Extended Double Crochet Stitch should look like when completed!
