First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! And how to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here!
To start, make chains in the multiple of 4

Row 1: Make 3 DC into the 5th CH from your hook, skip 3 CHs, *make 1 SC into next CH, CH 3, make 1 DC into same CH as SC just made, skip 3 CHs, repeat from * until end of row, make 1 SC into last CH of row
To start your Hatch row: CH 3
3 DC into 1st ST
make 1 SC into a previous CH 3 space
CH 3
Make 3 DC into same previous CH 3 space as SC just made
*Skip to next previous CH 3 space, make 1 SC
You can see how this row will start repeating, make 3 CHs
Make 3 DC into same previous CH 3 space as SC just made
Repeat these steps from * until you reach the end of your row
1 SC into last ST of row
This is what the Crochet Hatch Stitch should look like when completed!
