Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Crochet Sedge Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! How to make the Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC), tutorial here! And how to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 3, work 1 Sedge ST into the 2nd CH from your hook, *skip 2 chains, 1 Sedge in the next chain, repeat from * for your first row
Start 2nd row with 1 CH
1 SC into the first ST
Skip 2 STs, 1 SC in next ST
1 HDC in same ST as SC just made
1 DC in same ST
Skip 2 STs, make those 3 STs in the next ST again (1 SC, 1 HDC, 1 DC)
Repeat this step above until the last ST of your row
Make 1 SC in the last ST of your row
This is what the Crochet Sedge Stitch should look like when completed!
