Starting from the beginning make an even number of CHs

Row 1: Make 1 HDC into the 2nd CH from your hook
Then make 1 HDC into each CH across
Row 2: Make 2 CHs
Make 1 HDC into the 1st ST
Make 1 BPHDC into the next ST
*Make 1 HDC into the next ST
Make 1 BPHDC into the next ST
Repeat the steps above from * for the rest of Row 2
Row 3: Make 1 CH
Working into the Back Loops only, make 1 SC into the 1st ST
Working into the Back Loops only, make 1 SC into each ST across
Row 4: Make 1 CH
Working in the Front Loops only, make 1 SC into the 1st ST
Working in the Front Loops only, make 1 SC into each ST across
Row 5: Make 2 CHs
Make 1 HDC into the 1st ST
Make 1 HDC into each ST across
Repeat rows 2, 3, 4 & 5 for however long you want your project
