Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Vertical Posts Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! How to make the Front Post Double Crochet Stitch, tutorial here! And how to make the Back Post Double Crochet Stitch, tutorial here!
To begin, make an even number of CHs
For row 1: Make 1 DC into the 4th CH from your hook, then make 1 DC into each CH
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 2: Make 2 CH
1 DC into 1st ST
1 BP DC into next ST
1 FP DC into next ST
*1 BP DC into next ST
1 FP DC into next ST
Repeat these 2 STs from * until you reach the last ST of your row
Make 1 DC into the last ST of your row
Row 3: Make 2 CHs
1 DC into 1st ST
1 FP DC into next ST
*1 BP DC into next ST
1 FP DC into next ST
Repeat these 2 STs from * until you reach the last ST of your row
Make 1 DC into the last ST of your row
Alternate between rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
