Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Extended Back Post Double Crochet Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), tutorial here! And how to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), step by step photo tutorial here!

Yarn over your hook 1 time
Insert your hook through the back of your work. In the open area next to the next stitch you would normally work into. (Shown Above)
Grab that yarn you're working with, pull it through and up to the top of your work
Yarn over your hook and pull it through 1 loop on your hook
This is where you would finish the stitch like a regular Double Crochet, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops on your hook (leaving 2)
Yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through the last 2 loops on your hook
This is what the back of your work would look like. For my example swatch I made regular Double Crochet Stitches between the Extended Back Post Double Crochets to show the difference.
This is what the Extended Back Post Double Crochet Stitch should look like when completed!
