Thanks for visiting my page! Here is my version of a granny stripe afghan; This is my Scrappy Happy Granny Stripe Blanket!
This throw would look great in many colors! Very beginner friendly pattern and works up quickly! This pattern can easily be manipulated for different sizes too!

Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example blanket
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a ‘I’ hook for my example blanket – 5.5 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Notes:
CH 3 count as 1 DC through entire pattern
Granny block = 3 DC in one CH/ST or space
Crochet Stitches Needed:
Chain – CH
Stitch – ST
Skip – SK
Slip Stitch (SL ST):

Pattern:
CH 192
Row 1: 2 DC in 3rd CH from hook, *CH 1, SK 3, 3 DC in next CH, repeat from * until you reach the end of the row
Row 2: CH 4, *3 DC in next open space, CH 1, repeat from * until you reach the end of the row, on last granny block (3DC) CH1, 1 DC into top of last ST made in last row
Row 3: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC), 2 DC into open space made next to CH 3 just made, *CH 1, 3 DC into next open space, repeat from * until end of row
Alternate between row 2 and 3 to reach desired length
