First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC), tutorial here! And how to make the Puff Stitch (PF), tutorial here!
Make CHs in the multiple of 4 + 2
For your 1st row into chains, make 1 SC into each CH across
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Puff V ST row: Make 2 CHs
Make 1 PF ST into 1st previous open PF ST space
(If you're working into CHs/STs for your 1st PF row, make 1 PF ST into 4th CH from hook)
Make 2 CHs
Make 1 PF ST into same CH/ST as PF just made
CH 1
*Make 1 PF ST into next previous open PF ST space
(If you're working into CHs/STs for your 1st PF row, skip 3 CHs/STs, make 1 PF ST into the next CH/ST)
Make 2 CHs
Make 1 PF ST into same CH/ST as PF just made
CH 1
Repeat these steps from * until you reach the end of your row
1 HDC into the last ST of row
Repeat this PF ST row for however long you want your project
This is what the Puff V Stitch should look like when completed!
