Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Snapdragon Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet V Stitch (DC V), tutorial here! And how to make the Double Crochet Shell Stitch, tutorial here!

Start with chains in multiples of 8 + 5
Row 1:
Work 1 DC into the 5th CH from your hook (this makes 1 DC V), Skip 3 CHs, 1 shell of 5 DC into the next ST, Skip 3 chains, 1 DC V in the next CH
Repeat between shells and DC V STs until you reach the end of your row
Row 2: Make 3 CHs
Make 1 DC into the 1st ST
*5 DC (shell) into the next open space
Sk 3 DCs, 1 DC V ST into the next ST
You'll repeat the steps above from * until you reach the end of your row
Work 1 DC V into the last ST
Row 3: CH 3 and turn your work
2 DC into the open space from the previous DC V
*Sk 3 DCs, 1 DC V ST into the next ST
5 DC (shell) into the next open space
You'll repeat the steps above from * until you reach the end of your row
Work 3 DC into the last ST of your row
You will alternate between rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project. Each DC V will be worked into a previous shell and each shell will be worked into a previous DC V space
This is what the Crochet Snapdragon Stitch should look like when completed!
