Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a new free pattern from me! My Fire Opal Afghan is a fun filet lace blanket pattern!

Easy and works up quickly!

Only 1 stitch over and over!

Here is the free pattern/tutorial:

 

Materials:

Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example blanket

Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a ‘I’ hook for my example blanket – 5.5 MM

Scissors

Stitch Markers


Crochet Stitches Needed:

Chain – CH

Stitch – ST

Skip – SK

Pattern:


Make chains in the multiple of 18 + 4, I made 166 CHs for my example blanket


Row 1: Make 1 DC into the 5th CH from your hook, 1 DC into each of the next 5 CHs, *CH 1 SK 1 CH, 1 DC into next CH, CH 1 SK 1 CH, 1 DC into next CH, CH 1, SK 1 CH, 1 DC into next CH, 1 DC into each of the next 7 CHs, repeat from * for the rest of this row


Row 2: CH 4, SK 1 ST, *1 DC into each of the next 5 STs, 1 DC into next CH space, 1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK CH space, 1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK CH space, 1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK 1 ST, repeat from * for the rest of this row


Row 3: CH 3, 1 DC into next ST, 1 DC into next ST, *CH 1, SK 1 ST, 1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK CH space, 1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK CH space, 1 DC into next ST, 1 DC into next CH space, 1 DC into each of the next 5 STs, repeat from * for the rest of this row


Row 4: CH 4, SK CH space, *1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK CH space, 1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK 1 ST, 1 DC into each of the next 5 STs, 1 DC into next CH space, 1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK CH space, repeat from * for the rest of this row


Row 5: CH 2, *1 DC into each of the next 5 STs, 1 DC into next ST, 1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK CH space, 1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK CH space, 1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK 1 ST, repeat from * for the rest of this row


Row 6: CH 3, 1 DC into next ST, 1 DC into next ST, *CH 1, SK CH space, 1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK CH space, 1 DC into next ST, CH 1, SK 1 ST, 1 DC into each of the next 5 STs, 1 DC into next CH space, 1 DC into next ST, repeat from * for the rest of this row


You would now repeat Rows 2 – 6 for however long you want your project
