Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example blanket
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a ‘I’ hook for my example blanket – 5.5 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Crochet Stitches Needed:
Chain – CH
Stitch – ST
Skip – SK

Pattern:
Make chains in the multiple of 4 + 6, I made 158 CHs for my example blanket
Row 1: Make a 3 DC Cluster into the 5th CH from your hook
Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into that CH, grab that yarn and pull it through, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, repeat this 2 more times, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through all the loops on your hook to complete
*Make 1 CH, SK 2 CHs, make 1 SC into the next CH, make 3 CHs, make a 3 DC Cluster into the next CH
Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into that CH, grab that yarn and pull it through, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, repeat this 2 more times, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through all the loops on your hook to complete
Repeat the steps above from * until you have 2 CHs left in this row, make 2 CHs, SK 1 CH, make 1 DC into the last CH to complete this row
Row 2: Make 4 CHs, SK 1st ST, make a 3 DC Cluster into the 1st CH space
Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into that CH, grab that yarn and pull it through, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, repeat this 2 more times, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through all the loops on your hook to complete
*Make 1 CH, SK to next CH space, make 1 SC into that space, make 3 CHs, Make a 3 DC Cluster into the same CH space
Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into that CH, grab that yarn and pull it through, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, repeat this 2 more times, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through all the loops on your hook to complete
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have CHs left in this row, make 2 CHs, make 1 DC into those last CHs to complete this row
You would now repeat Row 2 for however long you want your project
