Very beginner friendly!
You'll just need to know 1 crochet stitch
Would look amazing in any color combo!

Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Pattern:
Starting at the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 4, I made 152 for my example blanket
Row 1: Make 1 DC into the 4th CH from your hook, then make 1 DC into each CH across to complete this row
Row 2: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC), skip the 1st ST, 1 DC into the next ST, 1 DC into the next ST, *CH 1, SK 1 ST, 1 DC into the next ST, 1 DC into the next ST, 1 DC into the next ST, repeat from * for the rest of this row
Row 3: CH 2 (counts as 1 DC), skip the 1st ST, *make 1 DC into each ST and each CH space across
Alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
