Here is the free pattern/tutorial:
Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example blanket
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a ‘I’ hook for my example blanket – 5.5 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Crochet Stitches Needed:
Chain – CH
Stitch – ST
Skip – SK
Single Crochet Stitch (SC):

Pattern:
Make chains in the multiple of 3 + 2, I made 152 CHs for my example blanket
Row 1: Make 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook, 1 HDC into that same CH, 1 DC into that same CH, *SK 2 CHs, make 1 SC + 1 HDC + 1 DC into the next CH, repeat the step above for the rest of this row
Row 2: CH 2, SK 2 CHs, make 1 SC + 1 HDC into the next ST, make 1 DC/DC Spike/Long DC into the CH space/ ST under that ST you were just working into, SK 2 STs, make 1 SC + 1 HDC into the next ST, make 1 DC/DC Spike/Long DC into the CH space/ST under that ST you were just working into, *SK 2 STs, make 1 SC + 1 HDC into the next ST, Make 1 DC/DC Spike/Long DC into the CH space/ST under that ST you were just working into, repeat the step above from * until you reach the last 3 STs of your row, SK 2 STs, make 1 SC into the last ST of this row
Repeat Row 2 for however long you want your project
