First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this blanket.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! And how to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here!

Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 10 + 2
I made 153 chains for my example blanket
Row 1: Make 1 DC into the 3rd CH from your hook
Make 1 DC into the next CH, make 1 DC into the next CH
So you'll have 3 DC + some CHs so far
*Valley: Skip 2 CHs
Side: 1 DC into each of the next 4 CHs
Peak: CH 2
Side: 1 DC into each of the next 4 CHs
Repeat the steps above from * for the rest of this row
Row 2: Make 3 CHs
Make 2 DC into the 1st ST
Make 1 DC into the next ST, make 1 DC into the next ST
*Valley: Skip 2 STs
Side: 1 DC into each of the next 3 STs
Peak: (1 DC, CH 2, 1 DC) into previous CH 2 Peak space
Side: 1 DC into each of the next 3 STs
Repeat the steps above from *until you have 1 ST/CHs left in this row
Make 1 DC into that last ST/CHs to complete this row
This is what the Blissful Chevron Afghan should look like when completed!
