Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make my Lucky Break Afghan!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this blanket
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! And how to make the Hatch Stitch, tutorial here!

Starting from the beginning making chains, make chains in the multiple of 4 for how wide you want your blanket. I made 152 chains for my example blanket
Row 1: Make 1 DC into the 5th CH from your hook
*Skip 3 CHs, make 1 SC into the next CH
Make 3 CHs
Make 3 DC into the same CH as the SC you just made
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 2 CHs left
Skip 1 CH, make 1 SC into the last CH to complete
Row 2: Make 4 CHs
Make 2 DC into the 1st ST
*Skip to next previous CH 3 space, make 1 SC into that space
Make 3 CHs
Make 3 DC into same CH space as SC just made
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 ST + CHs left
Skip the ST, make 1 SC into those CHs at the end of the row to complete
You would now repeat Row 2 for how long you want your project
