First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this blanket pattern
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Increase (DEC INC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Decrease (DC DEC), tutorial here! And how to make the Basic Ripple Stitch, tutorial here!

Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 14 + 2
Row 1: Make 2 DC into the 3rd CH from your hook
Side: Make 1 DC into each of the next 3 CHs
*Valley/Decrease: DC DED over 3 CHs, DC DEC over 3 CHs
Side: Make 1 DC into each of the next 3 CHs
Peak/Increase: Make 3 DC into the next CH, make 3 DC into the next CH
Side: Make 1 DC into each of the next 3 CHs
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 CH left
Make 3 DC into that last CH to complete this row
Row 2: Make 3 CHs
Make 2 DC into the 1st ST
Side: Make 1 DC into each of the next 3 STs
*Valley/Decrease: DC DED over 3 CHs, DC DEC over 3 STs
Side: Make 1 DC into each of the next 3 STs
Peak/Increase: Make 3 DC into the next ST, make 3 DC into the next ST
Side: Make 1 DC into each of the next 3 STs
Repeat the steps above from * for the rest of this row
Use the little loop/CH at the end of this row, make 3 DC into that loop/CH
You would now repeat Row 2 for however long you want your project
This is what my Ritzy Ripple Blanket should look like when completed!
