Photo Tutorial – Crochet Pattern: Spirit Wave Afghan!

Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make my Spirit Wave Afghan!

First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this blanket

For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! And how to make the Triple Crochet Stitch (TR), tutorial here!

Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 8 + 4, I made 156 chains for my example blanket

Row 1: Make 1 DC into the 3rd CH from your hook, then make 1 DC into the next CH

*Make 1 TR into each of the next 2 CHs

Make 1 DC into each of the next 2 CHs

Make 1 SC into each of the next 2 CHs

Make 1 DC into each of the next 2 CHs

Repeat the steps above from * for the rest of this row

Row 2: CH 1

 

Skip 1 ST, make 1 DC into the next ST

*Make 1 TR into each of the next 2 STs

Make 1 DC into each of the next 2 STs

Make 1 SC into each of the next 2 STs,

Then make 1 DC into each of the next 2 STs

Repeat the steps above from * for the rest of this row

 

You would now repeat Row 2 for however long you want your project

This is how your Spirit Wave Afghan should look like when completed!
