Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Puffs & Ladders Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! And how to make the Puff Stitch (PF ST), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 6 + 3
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 2 DC into the 4th CH from your hook
*Make 2 CHs
Skip 1 CH, make 1 SC into the next CH
Make 2 CHs
Skip 1 CH, make 1 DC into each of the next 3 CHs
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 2 CHs left
Make 1 DC into each of those last 2 CHs to complete
Row 2: Make 2 CHs
Skip 1 ST, *make 1 PF ST into the next ST
Make 1 DC into the next ST
Make 3 CHs
Skip both CH spaces and previous SC
Make 1 DC into next previous DC ST
Repeat the steps above from * for the rest of this row
Row 3: Make 2 CHs
Skip 1 ST, make 1 DC into each of the next 2 STs
*Make 2 CHs
Make 1 SC into next CH space
Make 2 CHs
Make 1 DC into each of the next 3 STs

Repeat the steps above from * for the rest of this row
You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
This is what the Puffs & Ladders Stitch should look like when completed!
