Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Acorn Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! And how to make the Cluster Stitch (CL ST), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 5 + 2

Row 1: Make 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook
Then make 1 SC into each CH across to complete this row
Row 2: CH 3, these CHs count as 1 DC ST
Skip 1 ST, make a 3 DC CL ST into the next ST
Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the next ST, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook back into the same ST, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook back into the same ST, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through all of the loops on your hook to complete that CL ST
*CH 3
Make that same 3 DC CL ST into the next ST
Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the next ST, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook back into the same ST, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook back into the same ST, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through all of the loops on your hook to complete that CL ST
Skip 2 STs, make that same 3 DC CL ST into the next ST
Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the next ST, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook back into the same ST, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook back into the same ST, grab the yarn you're working with, pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through all of the loops on your hook to complete that CL ST
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 2 STs left
Skip 1 ST, make 1 DC into the last ST to complete this row
Row 3: Make 1 CH
Make 1 SC into the 1st ST
*Make 1 SC into each ST, until you reach a CH space
Make 2 SC into that next CH space
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have some CHs left
Those last CHs counted as 1 DC ST, so make 1 SC into the top of those last CHs to complete this row
You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 in order for however long you want your project
This is what the Acorn Stitch should look like when completed!
