Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Back Crossed Half Double Crochet Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! And how to make the Half Double Crochet Stitch (HDC), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make an odd number of chains
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 1 HDC into the 3rd CH from your hook
Then make 1 HDC into each CH across
Row 2: Make 2 CHs
Make 1 HDC into the 1st ST
*Skip 1 ST, make 1 HDC into the next ST
Make 1 HDC over the one you just made, into the ST you had skipped
Repeat the steps above from * for the rest of this row
Make 1 HDC into the last ST to complete this row
Row 3: Make 2 CHs
Make 1 HDC into each ST across
You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
This is what the Back Crossed Half Double Crochet Stitch should look like when completed!
