Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Blossom Grid Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! And how to make the Cluster Stitch (CL ST), tutorial here!
Cluster Stitches are the bottoms of Double Crochet Stitches, clustered together.
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 4
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 1 DC into the 4th CH from your hook
CH2
Make a 2DC Cluster ST into the DC you had just made
Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into that DC ST, grab that yarn and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook back into that same DC ST, grab that yarn and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through all of the loops on your hook to complete
*Skip 3 CHs, make 1 3DC Cluster ST into the next CH
Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into that CH, grab that yarn and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only X 3, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through all of the loops on your hook to complete
CH 2
Make 1 2 DC Cluster ST into the top of the 3DC Cluster ST you had just made
Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into that CL ST, grab that yarn and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook back into that same CL ST, grab that yarn and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through all of the loops on your hook to complete
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 4 CHs left
Skip 3 CHs, make 1 DC into the last CH to complete this row
Row 2: CH 3
Make 1 DC into the 1st ST
*CH 3, skip to next previous 3DC CL ST, make 1 3DC Cluster ST into that ST
Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into that CH, grab that yarn and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only X 3, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through all of the loops on your hook to complete
Repeat the step above from * until you only have 1 ST + some CHs left
Make 1 DC into the last ST and 1 DC into the top of the last CHs to complete this row
Row 3: CH 3
Make 1 DC into the 1st ST
CH 2
Make 1 2 DC Cluster ST into the top of the DC ST you had just made
Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into that DC ST, grab that yarn and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook back into that same DC ST, grab that yarn and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through all of the loops on your hook to complete
*Skip previous CH space, make 1 3DC Cluster ST into next previous 2 DC CL ST
Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into that CL ST, grab that yarn and pull it through, pulling up 1 loop, yarn over 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only X 3, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through all of the loops on your hook to complete
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 2 STs left
Skip last CH space, make 1 DC into each of the last 2 STs to complete this row
You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
This is what the Blossom Grid Stitch should look like when completed!
