Photo Tutorial – How To Crochet: Centered Double Crochet Stitch!

 Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Centered Double Crochet Stitch!

First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch

For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! And how to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here!

To begin, the Centered DC ST isn't a stand alone ST that can be worked into CHs, it has to be worked into previous STs

So for my example swatch, I made 22 CHs, then make 1 regular DC into the 3rd CH, then 1 regular DC into each CH across for Row 1

Row 2: Make 2 CHs, these CHs count as 1 DC

Instead of working your next DC like normal, you'll work it under this loop on the next ST

Then you would just make the DC like normal

You would then make 1 Centered DC into each ST across,

So really the Centered DC ST is about where you place a regular DC

This is what the Centered Double Crochet Stitch should look like when completed!
