Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Dot Wave Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! And how to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 4 + 5
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook
Then make 1 SC into each CH across
Row 2: Make 1 CH
Make 1 SC into each of the 1st 3 STs
*Make 1 DC into each of the next 4 STs
Make 1 SC into each of the next 4 STs
Repeat the steps above from * until you have 1 ST left
Make 1 SC into that last ST to complete this row
Row 3: Make 1 CH
Skip 1 ST
*Make 1 SC into each of the next 4 STs
Make 1 DC into each of the next 4 STs
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 3 STs left
Make 1 DC into each of the next 3 STs to complete
Row 4: Make 2 CHs
Skip 1st ST, make 1 DC into each of the next 2 STs
*Make 1 SC into each of the next 4 STs
Make 1 DC into each of the next 4 STs
Repeat the steps above from * for the rest of this row
You would now repeat row 2, 3 & 4 in order for however long you want your project
This is what the Dot Wave Stitch should look like when completed!
