Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Iris Picot Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Slip Stitch (SL ST), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stitch (DC), tutorial here! How to make the Iris Stitch, tutorial here! And how to make the Picot Stitch, tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 4 + 3
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 2 DC into the 5th CH from your hook
CH 2
Make 2 DC into the same CH as the 1st 2 DC you made
So altogether in that CH we have: (2, SC, CH 2, 2 DC)
*Picot ST: CH 3
SL ST into the top of the last DC you had just made
That's 1 Picot ST made
Skip 4 CHs, make (2 DC, CH 2, 2 DC) into the next CH
Repeat the steps above from * until you run out of CHs to skip
Make 1 DC into the last CH of this row to complete this row
Row 2: Make 3 CHs, these CHs count as 1 DC
*Skip to the next CH space, make (2DC, CH 2, 2 DC) into that space
Make 1 Picot ST on top of that last DC you had just made
CH 3, then SL ST into the top of that DC
Repeat the steps above from * until you reach the last CHs in this row
On this last Iris ST, don't make a picot on top
Make 1 DC into the top of those last CHs to complete this row
You would now alternate between Rows 2 & 3 for however long you want your project
This is what the Iris Picot Stitch should look like when completed!
