Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Judith Stitch!
First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch.
For this tutorial you'll need to know how to make Chains (CH), I have a tutorial here! How to make the Single Crochet Stitch (SC), tutorial here! How to make the Double Crochet Stich (DC), tutorial here! And how to make the Triple Crochet Stitch (TR), tutorial here!
Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 3
❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈ ❈
Row 1: Make 1 SC into the 2nd CH from your hook
Then make 1 SC into each CH across
Row 2: CH 3
*Skip 1 ST, make 1 DC into each of the next 2 STs
Make 1 TR over the 2 DC, into the ST you skipped
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 2 STs left
Skip 1 ST, make 1 DC into the last ST to complete this row
Row 3: CH 1
Make 1 SC into each ST to complete this row
Row 4: CH 3
*Skip 1 ST, make 1 DC into each of the next 2 STs
Make 1 TR into the space 2 rows down, to the right of the (2 DC + TR) made (Shown Above)
Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 ST left
Make 1 DC into that last ST to complete this row
You would now alternate between Rows 3 & 4 for however long you want your project
This is what the Judith Stitch should look like when completed!
