Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Mattress Stitch Join to bring any crochet motifs together!

For this tutorial you'll need:
2 motifs/squares to join together
I'm using 2 Solid Granny Squares to join

Step by step photo tutorial here!
You'll need a sewing needle
Then some extra yarn to join the squares, thread your extra yarn into the sewing needle
To Start: You'll insert your sewing needle into the corner CHs of your 1st SQ
You'll take that sewing needle into the middles of 2 CHs
Easier to see in my video here!
Then do the exact same thing on your other square,
you'll insert your sewing needle into the corner CHs,
you'll take that sewing needle into the middles of 2 CHs
*To continue: You'll go back to your 1st SQ,
you'll do the same thing in the next 2 STs on that SQ,
Insert your sewing needle into the middles of the next 2 STs
Then you'll go back to your 2nd SQ,
you'll do the same thing in the next 2 STs on that SQ,
Insert your sewing needle into the middles of the next 2 STs
Repeat the steps above from * all the way up both squares, then fasten off your extra yarn
This is what the Mattress Stitch Join should look like when completed!
