Photo Tutorial – How To Crochet: Nested Cluster Stitch!

Thanks for visiting my page! Here is a written tutorial with photos on how to make the Nested Cluster Stitch!

First, with any project you'll need a crochet hook and yarn. Any yarn or hook will do for learning this stitch

Starting from the beginning, make chains in the multiple of 4 + 3

Row 1: Starting in the 4th CH from your hook we will make a 3 DC Cluster ST over 3 CHs

Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the 4th CH from your hook, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the next CH, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the next CH, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, then take that yarn through all of the loops on your hook to complete that CL ST across 3 CHs

Make 2 CHs

Make 1 DC into the last CH of the CL ST you just made

*Skip 1 CH,

Make 1 3 DC CL ST over the next 3 CHs,

Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the next CH, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the next CH, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the next CH, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, then take that yarn through all of the loops on your hook to complete that CL ST across 3 CHs

Make 2 CHs, then make 1 DC into the last CH of the CL ST you just made

Repeat the steps above from * until you only have 1 CH left

Make 1 DC into that last CH to complete this row

Row 2: Make 3 CHs

*Skip to the next CH space,

Make a 3 DC CL ST into that CH space:

Yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook into the CH space grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook back into that CH space, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, insert your hook back into that CH space, grab the yarn you're working with and pull it through, yarn over your hook 1 time, take that yarn through 2 loops only, yarn over your hook 1 time, then take that yarn through all of the loops on your hook to complete that CL ST in the CH space

Make 2 CHs, then make 1 DC into that same CH space with the CL ST you just made

Repeat the steps above from * until you run out of CH spaces
